- Use precautions besides vaccinations by simple changes such as peeling fruits and eating cooked fruits & vegetables.
Watch what you drink.
- Stay hydrated.
- Use bottled water for drinking and tooth brushing.
- Make sure it's sealed before you buy / drink - No refilled bottles.
Accidents
The most cited accidents involve Transportation.
- Car accidents are higher due to unfamiliar road conditions, traffic patterns and areas with high local accident rates.
- Renting and using vehicles such as mopeds, motorcycles, bicycles, motorized scooter, and jet skis.
Falls, Slips and Trips causing various foot and leg injuries are also higher with travelers. This could happen while touring or hiking.
- Getting on and off buses, metro, trains, water ferry.
- Don't overdo it. Know your limits.
- Be careful taking your selfies.
Water Recreation- pools, beaches, lakes, rivers and remote areas.
